We have to highlitght the nature of angolan people, which in the middle of misfortune raises up with pride and optimism. As a proof of their actitude we can mention successes achieved in sports. In athletics avery spotlight goes to José Savoyo, the angolan champion who won three golden medals in the para-olympic games in Athens 2004.
The first participation of Angola in the FIFA World Cup in Germany, 2006 is another reason to celebrate the strong will of our fighting people. In basketball, the national team has eight African Cups to show in their gallery and Angola is ranked 16th in the FIFA ranking; In handball, the female national team has seven african titles and is ranked 20th in the world.
