TOURISM

At 481,321 square miles (1,246,620 km2), Angola is a medium sized country by continental standards. Angola is bordered by Namibia to the south, to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the north-east, and the South Atlantic Ocean to the west. The exclave of Cabinda also borders the Republic of the Congo to the north. Angola's capital, Luanda, lies on the Atlantic coast in the north-west of the country. Angola's average temperature on the coast is 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 °C) in the winter and 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 °C) in the summer.

The country has a coastline of about 1,650 km of pure African beauty and charm with some of the best beaches of the Atlantic like Palmeirinhas, the Island of Luanda, the Island of Mussulo (which is an archipelago consisting of several islands) just to name a few. Tourists can elect to visit the province of Benguela which has world's famous beaches of Caota, Caotinha, Baia Azul (Blue Bay) and Baia Farta(Big Bay) with coconut palms and still water; ideal for sea sports.

Angola has a bewitchingly beautiful topographical diversity, with the coastal plains giving way to tropical forests, rivers, lakes, rocky mountains, caves, caverns and deserts.

Angola is home to some of the most exotic wildlife in the continent with elephants, tigers, lions, zebras, gazelles, ostriches, monkeys and rhinoceroses all within our borders.
